TIFU by insulting a gay couple

Obligatory this happened a few months ago...

My husband and I were at Costa Vida (Mexican-style fast food kind of place) and we had gotten our food and sat down near the line. My back was to the line and I was tucking into my salad. I was trying to get a piece of tortilla out from the bottom without flinging food everywhere and said, "This isn't going to end well." My husband's eyes got really big and said, "Oh no..." I asked what he meant and he just murmured, "I'll tell you later."

After we had left the restaurant, he told me that there was a gay couple right behind me who had recently gotten engaged and one of them seemed kind of shy, but he finally pulled out his hand to show off the ring. This moment coincided with the moment I said, "This isn't going to end well." He apparently looked on the verge of tears after I said that.

I got some dirty looks as we left the restaurant.

TL;DR I was trying not to make a mess at a restaurant when I said, "This isn't going to end well," which coincided with a gay couple behind me announcing their engagement.

Happened a couple of days ago, but yeah, as the title says... Oops... We've worked together for about a year now; we've always been friendly, but I never really clocked her as a potential romantic option; she's my coworker, she had a boyfriend when we started working together, and to be honest I just thought she was completely out of my league: I'm a schlub and she is gorgeous So when she texts me asking if we want to hang out after work, I genuinely thought nothing untoward would happen; I thought we were just going to chill and watch cartoons; and for a while we were just having a nice platonic hangout. So I have an Amazon account, and a family. Anyhow, the person I'm seeing likes to do things with me... try new things if you know what I mean 😏 Recently I've ordered a few packages with adult toys, swing, etc. And... clone a willy. It came in yesterday while I was out. While I was out I got a notification that the cloning kit came in. I sent my son a text asking him to bring my Amazon package in. He said he had already.
