TIFU by saying my Dad's tattoo is shit before I knew he already had it done.

Before you read my story, apparently there is an April Fools Bot that pretty much deletes every comment. So I partially fucked up by posting today, not realising what day it is...

So my dad sends me a pencil drawing asking what do I think. Looked like a tattoo to be, and not a very good one at that. Also my sister got a tattoo recently, so I guessed my dad was also thinking of one. For some reason she chose to get it from our neighbor who is a scratcher at best, but her was a very simple desing. The pencil drawing was of an animal, but tje eyes were wrong, the nose and mouth were slightly in the wrong place and the nose also looked like a piggs snout. Not wanting to be overly negative but sort of expecting where this was going I wrote that if the picture is to be a tattoo, it's a 4/10 at best (being generous). I hoped either dlthe design could be altered, or better yet I could persuade my dad to go get it from a real tattoo artist. I myself have a sleeve and a piece ony leg and I'd never get a tattoo from our neighbor unless it were VERY simple. A realistic drawing of an animal, never.

What came next surprised me. Right after me saying it is a 4/10, my dad sends me a picture where he already has the tattoo 80% done, amd looking worse than on the sketch. Well, the damage is done, so I switch to being neutral about it and changing the subject to more general stuff, so we are cool, but I can't take back my initial reaction. I wish even my sister would have asked my opinion before they went to our neighbor. Their body, their decision and I have a lifetime of ignoring and avoiding the subject in front of me, because I can't tell them what I honestly think, it'd hurt their feelings

TL;DR I told my dad the sketch of a tattoo isn't very good when he already had it almost done...

Edit: please don't ask for pictures, I will not post them online. For one thing I hate the thought of people making fun of my dad online and also I value his privacy and anonymity. Just google 'scratcher animal tattoo' amd you won't be very off.

Edit2: sorry to all whose comments are being deleted. Based on the short bits I saw in the notifications all seemed perfectly fine comments. The bots are going crazy I guess. Can I do something to turn it it off? I wrote to the moderators, hopefully I don't get banned out of spite...

Edit3: I guess some kimd of April Fools bot rolled out as soon as it was the 1st of April "somewhere" on earth?

Not the craziest story but hey. I'm obligated to say this was a few months ago but I cringe every time I go past the petrol station . My petrol was getting low, not dangerously so but it said 27 miles left, (oftentimes it then suddenly drops to about 16 for example, and then 5 and then 0 very fast) I didnt have my purse on me as I just didn't need it... TIFU - Don’t do what I did

On Sunday morning Aug. 24th, I awoke to discover a large blind spot in my right eye, which turned out to be what is called wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD). It has resulted in a very significant, permanent loss of vision in that eye. Although I maintain good peripheral vision, whatever I focus on at best is very blurry, and mostly disappears. I can barely make out the large E at the top of the eye chart. If this happens to my left eye I’ll be unable to read or drive. It turns out that I missed the opportunity that I had to prevent this from becoming a serious problem because I failed to report what appeared to be minor changes in my vision. TIFU by getting suspended for 2 days by my front office in school.

I (13M) am an African American student at Jeannette junior high who had got suspended for 2 days here. I was in math class minding my business until my teacher had told me to go to the main office, which posed no problem to me. As i went down there, the people of the front office had stopped me and made me get a new ID (yes, we have id's.) so i had asked them if i could maybe do a different alternative and call my mother to let her bring the Id here, even then, the Id isn't that important. So, although i was talking to them in a calm manner and not showing any signs of rebellion, they had threatened to call the police on me without thinking twice before calling my parents. This is where i started getting angry, and even then now the black peers agree that could have been a racially motivated action.
