This happened about 2 weeks ago. To start off, I'm at fault for not being more diligent.
I love watches and have a few "entry level" watches. Now I've been eyeing a watch on a few sites called, Mr. Jones Colour Venn but it's been sold out. I have a background in graphic design and love the look of the watch.
I decided to try my luck on the WTB thread in r/watchexchange. Sure enough, I received a message and we were to come to an agreement. Even got sent photos that didn't turn up on reverse image search. So in my excitement, I went ahead and paid the person over PayPal and didn't take additional steps to ensure it was a legit transaction.
Well, once the money went through, I got blocked and was never sent the watch. Lessoned learned.
TLDR - Tried to buy a watch on Reddit and got scammed.
