TIFU by enabling my mom access to my home ahead of time

Obligatory this didn't happen today

Context

Me (28F) and my boyfriend (28M) are both in a STEM field with a shortage of professionals. I got hired to my dream job and we moved out of the country, where he quickly got a job in the same company. I haven't been in my home country for the last 3 years cause pandemic, and I've been taking anxiety meds for this same reason until I was recently discharged from them. We live in a townhouse that has smart locks.

The Fuck Up

So, since we haven't traveled back home for the past three years, my mom asked if she could come visit us. We were thrilled because we both miss her a lot, so her coming to us was really ideal with our work scheduled. We asked for a week off work aroud the time she would be here and it got approved! But we had one task to do the night before she would arrive, and it was a couple countys over.

For some reason she couldn't postpone the flights, and my boyfriend suggested we could give her our passwords to the smartlock and she could make herself confortable while we got back home. Amazing idea, right!

Wrong.

Cue to the week of her arrival. It was a sunday morning, she would be here tuesday and everything was going great. We both wake up early in the day, around 730, 800, just so we can cuddle, talk to each other before our day starts, and morning sex never happened since my anxiety. But not this day. My libido and sex drive were reeeealy low because of the meds, but now that my body is coming back to normal this is also coming back to normal. I wake up my boyfriend with kisses and we're soon making out butt naked.

We are adults. We live alone. We are basically married. We don't have to worry about someone barging into our bedroom while we're going at it. It's been a few weeks since we properly do something and my boyfriend is excited! So he pulls me to the edge of the bed and puts my legs on top of his shoulders, and starts eating me out. Now, I should say that my bed is directly across the door, so is the first thing you see if you enter the room.

My poor mom wanted to surprise us with at last minute change! The flight company managed to reschedule the flight to saturday, so she would be here sunday morning. She knows we are both awake this time of the day because I texted her when I woke up. She knowns about my meds and she knows the collateral effects because she took them for sometime. She has every reason to believe we're scrolling on social media or talking to each other, because I talk to her EVERY SINGLE DAY and I tell her this sort of thing!!

It all happened so fast. I was almost coming when I heard the creaking the door makes. Just as I lifted my head enough to see it, I hear my mom exclaiming a cheerful "Surprise!", followed by a horrified "Oh lord". My mom had witnessed her daughter coming to her son-in-law. My boyfriend didn't see it was her first and got scared as shit, and my mom ran to the living room as quickly as she could, red as a tomato may I add. I put on a robe and go greet her wanting to die inside, and my boyfriend didn't have the guts to come out of the room until my mom said "It's okay sweetie, glad to know my baby found a good one".

The rest of her visit went amazing, and we didn't have sex until she left a week later.

TL;DR: my mom made a surprise visit to me and my boyfriend and caught us in the end of him eating me out.

TIFU - Don’t do what I did

On Sunday morning Aug. 24th, I awoke to discover a large blind spot in my right eye, which turned out to be what is called wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD). It has resulted in a very significant, permanent loss of vision in that eye. Although I maintain good peripheral vision, whatever I focus on at best is very blurry, and mostly disappears. I can barely make out the large E at the top of the eye chart. If this happens to my left eye I’ll be unable to read or drive. It turns out that I missed the opportunity that I had to prevent this from becoming a serious problem because I failed to report what appeared to be minor changes in my vision. In the weeks prior to August I had noticed that what I knew to be straight lines appeared to my right eye to have a little waviness. I also noticed that the color of my front lawn, which I could see through the window from my recliner,  was subdued, looked almost gray, in my right eye. So I scheduled an eye exam, which revealed the p...

TIFU by getting suspended for 2 days by my front office in school.

I (13M) am an African American student at Jeannette junior high who had got suspended for 2 days here. I was in math class minding my business until my teacher had told me to go to the main office, which posed no problem to me. As i went down there, the people of the front office had stopped me and made me get a new ID (yes, we have id's.) so i had asked them if i could maybe do a different alternative and call my mother to let her bring the Id here, even then, the Id isn't that important. So, although i was talking to them in a calm manner and not showing any signs of rebellion, they had threatened to call the police on me without thinking twice before calling my parents. This is where i started getting angry, and even then now the black peers agree that could have been a racially motivated action. They then told me to sit in the office conference room because of that, leading into more anger. They had then called my mother who had came over to the school didn't even let ...

TIFU by putting my already skinny jeans in the dryer on high heat.

TL;DR: Was stupid and didn't realize I put my clothes on extra high heat in the dryer. Had to rock skintight skinny jeans all day with tighty whities (only clean pair I had since I procrastinate doing laundry like crazy). I guess the constant wedgies and squishing are punishment for my stupidity. Honestly don’t know who else to blame but myself for this. I’m a scatterbrained guy so I literally put the highest setting on a load with most of my clothes, and my skinny jeans that I was planning to wear today. You can probably already see where this is going, but somehow I didn’t. For context, these jeans were already pushing the limits of what could reasonably be called wearable. They fit, technically, but only in the sense that I could get them on with enough determination and a bit of strategic breathing. Sitting down in them was more of a commitment than a casual action. Still, they looked good, and I had convinced myself that discomfort was just part of the aesthetic. So this m...
