TIFU by accidentally screen sharing a video of someone fucking a Nutella jar for my class presentation
Backstory: A few weeks ago, I have been working on a free-topic presentation that I would share with my class. I decided I would cover Social Networking sites since they were something I was well-invested into.
Since my grade was plummeting, I had to make it an amazing presentation to impress my teacher. So, I grinded my ass off for the next week, finishing it far before the big day. In the meantime, I spent a lot of time online, mainly with my friends.
My friends and I have a thing where we look at cursed shit sometimes since it makes us laugh and cringe together. The night before the presentation, we looked at an account on Twitter that posts extremely NSFW videos, like a man sticking his entire head in a woman's... yeah, you get it. We had some fun, then I went to go get some sleep.
I wake up, and it's now the big day. I log in to Zoom, and we get straight to the presentations. Since the assignment had high expectations, everyone definitely put a lot of effort into their work. So, we got straight to the point and we starting presenting.
I was chosen first.
In a panic, I started sharing my screen and I opened up my browser. In my settings, I made it so my tabs from my last session of browsing are saved whenever I launch my browser. So when I opened it up, a video of a guy railing a jar of NUTELLA started playing.
This remained on screen for a good 5 seconds, and everyone got a good glimpse. I freaked out, my teacher freaked out, and the entire class freaked out. From my teacher's mic, I could hear the in-person group howling like a pack of grey wolves. My heart was beating out of my chest, and I said something along the lines of, "fuck, shit, sorry, oh my fucking god, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," and I left the meeting to go cry in my pillow.
For the next thirty minutes, my messages were spammed by classmates asking what the hell happened, and I was too stressed and scared to answer. I still haven't heard from my teacher yet.
TL;DR: Browser left my tabs open which contained obscure NSFW content when I presented my screen to my class, and now my school presentation is my funeral
