TIFU by giving Santa a smoothie, forgetting that seeing Santa is serious business when you're young.

This happened years ago but I just remembered it when I read a post in AmItheAsshole.

I was in Australia, north Queensland, it around Christmas time and it was the middle of the day. I saw Santa with a line of kids waiting to see him. It was around 41C, humidity around 99.9% and Santa had the full suit on. I was sweating just sitting there eating lunch, so I really felt bad for Santa. After I ate, I went and got two smoothies, one for me and one for Santa. The direct route to Santa had decorations blocking it so I went under the first set of ropes and stepped over the second making my way towards Santa. That's when I heard from the 4 to 6 year olds "Mind the queue you cunt! I'm going to punch you in the nuts! I'll break your jaw!" and some other threats. I got up to Santa and gave him the smoothie (mango), he thanked me and let me know while laughing "You're putting your life on the line cutting in front of all those kids to get up here mate, do yourself a favor and go around the back when you leave." I wisely took his advice to keep from getting pummeled by a bunch of burly tikes waiting to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.

TL;DR I cut in front of a bunch of kids waiting to see Santa so that I could give him a smoothie, was threatened with bodily harm for my troubles.
