TIFU by educating my bf about circumcision

I (24 F) happened to get into a random conversation about parenting, future children, etc. with my bf (25 M) today.

I expected he would say no, but I asked him “would you want to circumcise your son?” To which he replied, “yes.” I was shocked and asked why and he proceeded to give me his reasonings about cleanliness and prevention of STDs, etc. So I said, those are also things that cleaning your penis and wearing a condom would work just fine for, and then I said “I mean do you have to be reminded to clean your penis?” And then his next comment was “well it’s a lot easier for me since I don’t have a hood.”

And my jaw hit the floor. I was trying not to bust out in laughter because I’ve been sleeping with this man for over a year and I am POSITIVE he is not circumcised. Lol. So then I gently tried to tell him, as it is not an insult, but that he is misinformed because he does in fact, still have his foreskin lolllllll. Nonetheless, he hasn’t talked to me for a little bit now and I fear I’ve upset him lol. But I mean I don’t think lying to him would have been a better move here.

TL; DR. I had to educate my bf today that he is in fact, not circumcised, and still has in tact foreskin after he made a comment about “not having a hood.”
