TIFU I accidently sold alcohol to a minor

Today I (20) was working at my job in Maine and my front end manager (65) went on a half hour break. During that time the store got super busy and I was by myself so I was trying to get customers out the door as soon as possible.

During that time I guess a person from the alcohol control came in to do a "sting". I was so distracted by the long lines that I forgot to check their id and sold them beer. A little bit later an older gentlemen came in with the beer in his hands. He said that the person who just bought this beer was underage. I asked if he wanted to speak to my manager who was back from break. He said yes so I brought her out and they talked.

I didn't overhear what they were saying, but my coworker told me not to worry. However as you can guess I am worrying. The actual manager will be in on Monday and I don't know how much trouble I am going to be in.
