TIFU for holding a seat for (44m) my wife (47f).

TIFU when my wife (47f) ordered a new office chair for her SAO work space. Unfortunately they sent the wrong seat cushion for the chair she ordered. I (44m) tried to assemble the chair for her but the screw holes on the seat cushion were too far apart for the screw holes on the arm rest.

Now I had been following the directions until now and have already inserted the lift into the seat cushion and we needed to pull it apart to return the wrong seat cushion. I gripped the seat cushion while my wife gripped the wheel base. She unfortunately did not brace herself as she pulled, and when it popped off she fall backwards. Onto the corner of a step stool.... the corner.... She screamed as loud as when she broke her ankle. Unfortunately she also screamed that she broke her ass and I couldn't help but giggle.

I am forever ashamed for the giggles. She had to work on her old chair all day and her bruise on her ass is unfortunately huge. Hopefully her ass heals soon and her forgiveness comes even sooner.

TL;DR: Held the base of a chair to disconnect it only for my wife to fall and bruise her ass.
