TIFU getting circumcised for my ex girlfriend

This happened 8 ish months ago and just wanted to give an update on how I am travelling after making such a stupid mistake. I was circumcised due to my ex's advice and didn't do any meaningful research myself to know if it was a good idea or not.

Not only did I instantly regret the procedure less than a few weeks afterwards, but the ongoing damage that I have to live with everyday is a reminder to really think before committing to any lifelong decision. My penis has become extremely dry and does not feel anywhere near as sensitive. I am having issues regulating moisture as I feel it is extremely difficult to keep the glans moist due to the rubbing on my underwear/pants. I feel like too much skin was removed during the operation leaving me with inadequate skin coverage while getting erections and masturbating has become incredibly difficult and non-rewarding/pleasurable.

I am a bit deflated about making such a permanent decision so quickly based on no research and I feel it is something I have to learn to live with which is very tough. Point of this post is to really just make your own decisions in life especially if it is about your genitals because cutting important pieces off really isn't a smart idea especially if it is for someone else's aesthetic preferences. Thanks to everyone that previously sent really positive and supportive messages I really appreciate everything.

TL;DR by getting circumcised for an ex girlfriend 8 ish months ago and now living with a dry exposed penis and everything sexual is a lot less pleasurable and numb.
