TIFU by unknowingly sharing a youtube account with a stranger

For the past half year I noticed that in my YT history there were rarely and occasionally random videos I would never watch, some kind of soap operas and cooking tutorials. While mine is gaming/science/politics/war and some music.

I thought it was my parents, cause I remember I logged in with my account once on their Smart TV, so I thought ok: they don't watch Youtube often, so be it.

But as months went by, the IMPOSTER videos were still rare, but started screwing with the recommendation algorithm. And I thought: my parents would never watch this kind of stuff, so called my dad and asked to make sure he was using his own account. And forgot about it.

The IMPOSTER videos in history were super rare, and I wasn't paying much attention.

But today, I didn't finish watching a video and hours later came home and went to history to continue watching. What I found was SHOCKING!

10 fucking videos on how to make Apple Pie in a row! Mixed with soap opera and comedy shows.

I call my dad:

— Are you guys making Apple Pie?

— No

— oh ok, weird

I start thinking... And it hit me: My dad works with TV stuff, and gave me an Android box to test half a year ago or more, I logged in with my own account for testing, and probably forgot to log out. And that Android box is now in someone else house being used with my account.

Some 30+ woman is using my YouTube and is probably as confused by all the Gaming/Science/Politics recommendations as I am by her Cooking/Soap Opera stuff.

Now that I think of it, it's so ridiculously funny: sharing a YouTube account with a complete stranger.

TL;DR: I entered my google login in to an Android TV box for testing a year ago, and some lady has been using it to watch Cooking/SoapOperas for maybe a year, making us both confused by our recommendations.

Happened a couple of days ago, but yeah, as the title says... Oops... We've worked together for about a year now; we've always been friendly, but I never really clocked her as a potential romantic option; she's my coworker, she had a boyfriend when we started working together, and to be honest I just thought she was completely out of my league: I'm a schlub and she is gorgeous So when she texts me asking if we want to hang out after work, I genuinely thought nothing untoward would happen; I thought we were just going to chill and watch cartoons; and for a while we were just having a nice platonic hangout. So I have an Amazon account, and a family. Anyhow, the person I'm seeing likes to do things with me... try new things if you know what I mean 😏 Recently I've ordered a few packages with adult toys, swing, etc. And... clone a willy. It came in yesterday while I was out. While I was out I got a notification that the cloning kit came in. I sent my son a text asking him to bring my Amazon package in. He said he had already. I didn't think much of it. Until last night when I went to go... use it. I asked my son where the package was on my way out the door. He asked "The plant stand or the cloning kit?". Mind you, the boxes DO NOT say what the contents are, nor were they opened. He must have realized what he said because my face is a goddam story book. I just stood there silent and shocked.
