TIFU by trying to save a dollar but ended up spending $95

Trying to save $1 ended up costing me $95 and a chunk of my trip

I had booked a train ticket to visit another city for the day and then head back home as a sort of mini trip. To get from my house to the train station I had two options.

Option 1: take a bus for $8

Option 2: take a bus and then tram for $7 total and arrive 5 minutes later

I had pre planned plenty of time to be at the train station so I decided to go with option 2 and eat the 5 minutes just to save that dollar.

Well, as luck may have it, there was an incident on the tram specifically for the area I was at which caused them to put shuttle busses…. Which were all full and couldn’t take any more passengers. Long story short, I ended up arriving late for my train (I planned my trip to be an hour early just in case of delays in my route, and ended up being 30 minutes late for departure) and now I have to pay $95 to transfer to the next train and will have about 90 minutes shaved off my trip for the day :(

All because I wanted to save that precious dollar lol. In hindsight, I should’ve taken an Uber, but when that thought crossed my mind it was already too late, I might as well have waited for the next train.

TL;DR I decided to take the cheaper route which then ended up delaying me and causing me to miss my train, thus I had to pay $95 to take the next one

Happened a couple of days ago, but yeah, as the title says... Oops... We've worked together for about a year now; we've always been friendly, but I never really clocked her as a potential romantic option; she's my coworker, she had a boyfriend when we started working together, and to be honest I just thought she was completely out of my league: I'm a schlub and she is gorgeous So when she texts me asking if we want to hang out after work, I genuinely thought nothing untoward would happen; I thought we were just going to chill and watch cartoons; and for a while we were just having a nice platonic hangout. TIFU by shopping on Amazon

So I have an Amazon account, and a family. Anyhow, the person I'm seeing likes to do things with me... try new things if you know what I mean 😏 Recently I've ordered a few packages with adult toys, swing, etc. And... clone a willy. It came in yesterday while I was out. While I was out I got a notification that the cloning kit came in. I sent my son a text asking him to bring my Amazon package in. He said he had already. I didn't think much of it. Until last night when I went to go... use it. I asked my son where the package was on my way out the door. He asked "The plant stand or the cloning kit?".
