So, I sprained my ankle during midterms, I had never hurt myself on a serious level before and wanted as much advice as I could find, after just going to urgent care and given the bare minimum information I needed.
I was also needing to vent, as I was not only incredibly stressed already with school, but struggling to make it to class, eat lunch (because I couldn't carry anything), and basically everything was high pressure with about 4 exams I had to do that week. And I was so tired I would sleep at like 8 pm.
ANYWAY, I would go to every subreddit related to injuries I could find, where I thought I may be able to find some valuable advice and/or recurve some support. But, I ended up finding r/sprainedankles (I think) which is actually a fetish subreddit. I did not know this was a fetish at all.
I wrote a post basically in summary: hey it still hurts and is very swollen at 2 weeks, is this normal?
So someone replied
"Does it feel unstable?"
"Yeah"
"Describe it, do you feel vulnerable, like your ankle will give out?"
At that point I was sketched out and looked over the subreddit. TIFU by accidently supplying fetish content. And feeling hella dumb for it.
TLDR: I hurt my ankle, TIFU, I went to a subreddit for support, turns out they have a fetish for my injury and were probably just jacking off. Lovely. Also I think the fact I was unaware it was a fetish subreddit was like, extra appealing to this redditor.
EDIT: just so ppl know, it's actually been awhile and I'm a lot better.had a Rough couple months though lol
