Today at work I parked next to the curb, behind parked cars in parking lanes. The building I work at has multiple companies occupying them and the parking has been extremely limited. Being the lazy person I am, instead of parking across the street in the other parking lot, I parked right in front of my building behind the parking lanes. To be fair, I do think there is plenty of room to back out without hitting my car, but today I was proven wrong. Luckily the lady did come and find me to report the damage, which was very big on her part to do considering she could’ve easily ran. But now I feel like a douche because she’s going to take all the blame and pay out. I filed a claim on instinct, and didn’t think about maybe offering for her to replace my tail light omitting insurance. I’ll never park like that again, the guilt is settling in. And that goes for everybody else too, don’t park like an idiot. TL;DR - I parked against the curb behind parking lanes and was backed into.
