So I have revolut. 6 months ago I apparently used the spare change feature to donate to a charity. I guess in the moment the UN world food programme spoke to me. I completely forgot it was on and even if I did see the tiny icon of the coins next to the transaction I would have dismissed it as a round up going into a personal savings account rather than to a charity. This is a feature I have active on another bank already going into savings. To add insult to injury the spare change feature was multiplied by 5. Ouch! I hope it’s not one of those sketchy charities that’s a front for money laundering.
Don’t get me wrong I’m happy to donate but that’s just more than I feel comfortable with with my income. Also I don’t know if they offer tax breaks or anything like that. Probably not through revolut. I’m dumb.
Tl;dr - used revolut’s spare change feature to donate to a charity over a period of 6 months without noticing totaling 1000 dollars
