TIFUpdate Texting my date that I might end up marrying him seconds after we ended our date

Bitchhhh we got married! 3 years after I mistakenly pressed send, texting this gorgeous specimen of a guy I would marry him seconds after ending our first date, keys still in hand as I struggled to both text and lock the door, and subsequently sprawled across my library wishing for the floor to engulf me, I did end up marrying the man. Damn! What in the world, life? Thought I’d let you guys know since you did help me with your funny comments and shared shameful moments to eventually get myself up that fateful evening, dust myself off, and not commit cringe seppuku. It’s been 3 years of pure joy, and he’s still as dreamy and kind, you guys. And it was “kids, that’s how I met your father” after all. See you in the next chapter. TL;DR: Bitchhh I married the man! Sending that text by mistake 3 years ago telling him I’d marry him right after our first date was just the truth.

TIFU by getting lost on the parkway and accidently leaving Long Island

TIFU by getting lost on the parkway. I (20) am a somewhat new driver, and have only driven on the parkway once or twice before. I'll be honest, I really don't know how to navigate it but my friend and I were supposed to go somewhere that required us to take the parkway, so I just had to wing it. I've gotten lost before while driving, but I've always managed to resolve those situations pretty easily. I tried to memorize the directions before leaving, turns out I missed a step and ended up going north instead of south somehow. I felt like I was doing something wrong, and asked my friend , "hey can you look on the map and make sure we're heading south towards (destination) on (parkway's name)?". He said we were all good, still felt like something was off but trusted his judgement since he was the one with the map infront of him. We had to drive on this parkway for 20+ minutes before getting off, so I just kept going. After a while, I asked him to let ...

TIFU by accepting a friend request

It's kind off a lame one compared to many others I've seen but for me this is a huge FU. I got this friend request and usually I just ignore them but this one looked familiar so I accepted. Huge mistake. I used to work with this guy many years ago and he would "chat" me by sending a hi how are you and after my first respons he would always send videos of him, talking while being in bed (we worked early mornings so many off us went to sleep after we got home). I always just responded with text because idk how else to respond. I was so weirded out by this. I had never been in a conversation like this, and the fact that he was in bed as he sent these... Like I could get if you're dyslexic and ha e trouble typing that maybe it's easier to send like voice notes... But actually doing selfie video replies while in bed... Maybe it's just me, but I was seriously weirded out. He moved away and he removed me as a friend. I didn't think anything off it and was...

TIFU by buying and trying a black silicone butt plug

I'd never tried plugs before, and I thought it'd be a fun addition to the bedroom. I saw some black silicone ones on sale - perfect! After some prep, I had a lot of fun with one. I was feeling extra sexy, so I decided to take some pics to show my partner when he got home later. I looked at the pics I'd taken, and every single one just looks like I'm taking a shit. The plugs had a flared base that was more oblong than circular, and since they were black and shiny with lube, it just looked like wet shit dripping down. I decided to show my partner anyway. Maybe he'd think the pics were still nice! But no, he couldn't stop laughing and saying it looked like I shit myself. He started crying from laughing so hard. Total mood killer. My advice? Don't buy black butt plugs. TL;DR Black butt plugs look like doo doo

TIFU drinking my morning protein shake during work

Today started out like any other, woke up, worked out, and then make my breakfast and shake before my WFH job. Usually my cat will just be chilling by the window basking in the morning sun but today she was walking around my desk all curious looking and sniffing everything like she hasn’t seen it before a thousand times. I mostly ignore her since I had work to to, but I look up at one point and this fucker is looking straight at me, right next to my shake which is still half full and with what I swear is the most smug expression a cat can make, she pushes the cup over. Thankfully most of it got on my desk and a bit of it got onto my desktop, but it was mostly caught by the little dust filter on top. Needless to say i’m going to start putting my shake in a bottle whenever this little villain is around. TL;DR leave protein shake in cup at desk and my evil cat pushes it over.

TIFU by “abusing” my job’s reward system

So this was at my last job a couple or so years ago. The store manager informed us quarterly of our percentage scores for customers using their number for rewards. We had to keep it around or above 80%. If they didn’t have their number signed up for rewards, we were told to ask and explain the rewards system. In my department (Pharmacy), we had a drive thru window where we input the number ourselves. Around December of 2020 when the vaccines came out, we got an influx of customers, most of which were because they had COVID. My coworkers and I had a rotating shift of 1 hour on drive thru. It felt like forever tho. During this time, most people just wanted to get their shit and get out. I had been given enough attitude or yelled at to not ask everyone about their number for rewards. A good majority even told me they’re not gonna bother because they just came here as a one time situation (an antibiotic we happened to have that no other pharmacy did). My score went down and I was talked ...

TIFU by giving my full name to customer/stranger

So, I have a new job in store. Everything was going fine, but we had lots of things to do. One guy asked for some discounts(we have different discounts on different stuff), was angry or whatever that he couldn't find certain discount and later asked for my name. I had normal conversation with him but unfortunately I was already switched off(I know I'm an idiot) so i accidentaly gave him my full name. That's it.. I'm angry at myself, I knew immediately I made a mistake, I tried to retain composure telling myself it's fine, he can't do anything and so did people around me. But still, it's messed up to give full names to strangers and I just wanted to rant somewhere and ask you what would you do? Did someone experience similar situation? Literally everyone I tried talking to downplayed the situation. Btw, this job won't even be my job for long time, I was already planning to move on. Am I fine? TL;DR: I gave my full name to a complete stranger in a store ...
